Joint Replacement Surgeon
Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is a highly respected and innovative orthopaedic sub-specialty group practice, located in beautiful Northern California has an immediate practice opportunity for a joint replacement surgeon.
The candidate for this practice opportunity must be board eligible; board certification is preferred.
Among our strategic objectives is the continued development of our Group’s Joint Replacement, Sports and Occupational Medicine Programs.
Shasta Orthopaedics currently has one Fellowship Trained Joint Replacement Surgeon, Shawn Brubaker, D.O.. Working with Dr. Brubaker is Geri Dutra, PA-C. Dr. Brubaker and Ms. Dutra’s practice has reached capacity. Dr. Brubaker’s next available new patient appointment averages two months.
Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, located in Redding California, is comprised of seven orthopaedic surgeons, one physical medicine & rehabilitation physician, one sports medicine physician, seven physician assistants, one nurse practitioner, four physical therapists, one occupational therapist and three certified athletic trainers. The physicians and physician assistants are supported by an experienced staff of allied health professionals including certified medical assistants, orthopaedic technicians, and radiologic technologists.
The population of our practice's primary patient catchment area is currently 370,000 and growing. This will significantly increase the demand for many health care services. The payer mix is predominantly private insurance with provider networks including Blue Cross, Blue Shield etc., there is no HMO managed care.
Redding and the nearby community of Red Bluff are serviced by three acute care hospitals, St. Elizabeth's Community Hospital in Red Bluff, and Shasta Regional Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, a level II trauma center. Redding also has a comprehensive in-patient rehabilitation hospital, Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital. The Redding facilities are all within three miles of our office.
We have a beautiful state of the art medical office building that was designed specifically for our use and is in a highly visible and easily accessible location. Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has a successful physician owned outpatient surgery center, Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center, attached to the medical office building. Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center specializes in orthopaedics, pain management and ENT. We have broken ground on our new 29,800 square foot medical office building target to open in 2011.
Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine can offer a generous salary, benefit package and an outstanding work environment. Partnership offers are considered after the first year of employment. Opportunities for partnership in Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center and our real estate/property venture are also available.
