Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is a highly respected and innovative orthopaedic sub-specialty group practice, located in beautiful Northern California has an immediate practice opportunity for a spine surgeon.

Among our unique services offerings is a Regional Spine Center; ShastaOrtho Spine Institute opened in September of 2007. ShastaOrtho Spine Institute is currently receiving approximately 60 new patient referrals per week.

» Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center

Currently we plan to develop the Spine Institute to include three to four spine surgeons, our goal is to complement the orthopaedic spine surgeons with a neuro-spine surgeon. The Spine Center will also include three Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians.

ShastOrtho Spine Institute’s service offerings include an exceptional physical therapy department, ShastaOrtho PT, which operates as an ancillary department of Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Also, supporting the Spine Institute is Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center, a physician owned ambulatory surgery center specializing in pain management and orthopaedics.

ShastaOrtho Spine Institute is a Division of Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine the premier musculoskeletal and physical medicine sub-specialty practice in Northern California.

Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, located in Redding California, is comprised of eight orthopaedic surgeons, one physical medicine & rehabilitation physician, seven physician assistants, one nurse practitioner, three physical therapists, one occupational therapist and two certified athletic trainers. The physicians and physician assistants are supported by an experienced staff of allied health professionals including certified medical assistants, orthopaedic technicians, and radiologic technologists.

The population of Redding is 89,000, and the population of our practice's patient catchment area is currently 370,000 and growing! Redding and the near by community of Red Bluff are serviced by three acute care hospitals, St. Elizabeth's Community Hospital in Red Bluff, and Shasta Regional Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, a level II trauma center. Redding also has a comprehensive in-patient rehabilitation hospital, Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital. The Redding hospitals are all within three miles of our office.

We have a beautiful state of the art medical office building that was designed specifically for our use and is in a highly visible and easily accessible location. Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has a successful physician owned outpatient surgery center, Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center, attached to the medical office building. Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center specializes in orthopaedics, pain management and ENT. We will break ground on our new 29,800 square foot medical office building in 2009.
