19 Oct Dr. Garret Strand Completes European Endurance Runs
When he’s not hiking, swimming, or biking in beautiful Redding, Dr. Garret Stand engages in physical fitness abroad. This late summer, Dr. Strand took on two challenging European trails: The Madrisa Trail in Switzerland and The Dolomiti di Brenta Trail in Italy.
The Madrisa Trail is in the Switzerland Alps. It is 24km (14.9 miles) and has an 800M+ elevation gain. On the trails, runners can see nature, wildlife, and a waterfall. The trail is rated as difficult.
The Dolomiti di Brenta Trail is in the Italian Alps. It is 64km (39.8 miles) and has a 4200M+ elevation gain. Competitors have 16 hours to finish the difficult trail.
Dr. Strand is a reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon at Shasta Orthopaedics. He is also the 2020-2021 participant of Shasta Orthopaedics’ Northern California Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellowship.
