Shasta Orthopaedics welcomes shoulder and elbow specialist Dr. Galen Kam to our orthopedics team. Dr Kam is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon who previously worked with patients in Las Vegas. Dr. Kam was a part of the UNLV Department of Orthopaedic Surgery faculty where he taught complex shoulder and elbow surgery to residents.
Dr. Kam improves the specialty care of patients with shoulder and elbow pain with an emphasis on individualized care. He built his practice on shoulder and elbow reconstruction with most procedures focused on shoulder arthroplasty, revision shoulder arthroplasty, prosthetic joint infections, and complex shoulder and elbow trauma. Dr. Kam also sees patients for routine shoulder and elbow pain.

Dr. Kam is known for taking time with his patients, providing clear explanations and carefully listening to their concerns. He “believes in treating every patient as if they were a member of his family” by working in their best interests in regard to their orthopedic care.

Dr Kam is one of only a few members in the Northern California region of the prestigious and selective American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES). He has been,and continues to be, active in publishing orthopaedic research and speaking on a national level.
