Dr. Garret Strand joins Shasta Ortho’s Foot and Ankle Fellowship
Dr. Garret Strand, Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Doctor in Redding
Dr. Garret Strand joins Shasta Orthopaedics through the Northern California Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Fellowship. Dr. Strand is Board Qualified in both foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. As a fellow of Northern California Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Fellowship at Shasta Orthopaedics, Dr. Strand will work in our high-volume reconstructive foot and ankle practice with exposure to foot and ankle trauma and sports medicine. He will obtain even further advanced training working with Jason Nowak, DPM, FACFAS, Board Certified Foot & Ankle Surgeon and the top musculoskeletal and orthopaedic specialists in the field.
Dr. Strand completed his surgical foot and ankle residency—a 36 month program—at Wheaton Franciscan Ascension Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in June of 2020. Throughout residency, he received extensive training in all areas of foot and ankle reconstruction working under a large number of top foot and ankle surgeons.
Originally from a small town in Iowa, Dr. Strand has always been actively involved in sports. He’s training for an upcoming Ultra Marathon race and stays active through hiking, swimming, biking, and golfing.
