Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, the premier musculoskeletal sub-specialty group practice in Northern California, has an immediate opening for a spine surgeon. The candidate must be fellowship trained and board eligible; board certification is preferred. Our strategic objectives include the continued development of our musculoskeletal subspecialty specific group by the development of our spine, joint, sports medicine, and occupational medicine service programs.

Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine operates Shasta Ortho Spine Institute. The Spine Institute is the region’s only comprehensive team offering a complete approach to assessing and caring for neck and back problems. The Spine Institute combines non-surgical and surgical treatment including advanced diagnostics, chiropractic care, physical medicine & rehabilitation, spine surgery and physical therapy.

Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, the region’s largest group of Board Certified and Fellow Trained musculoskeletal physicians, is comprised of five orthopaedic surgeons, one foot and ankle surgeon, one physical medicine & rehabilitation physician, one sports medicine physician, one doctor of chiropractic medicine five physician assistants, one nurse practitioner, four physical therapists, one occupational therapist, one physical therapy assistant and one certified athletic trainer. These providers are supported by an experienced staff of allied health professionals including certified medical assistants, orthopaedic technicians, and radiologic technologists.

The population of Redding is 89,000, and the population of our practice’s patient catchment area is currently 370,000 and growing! The payer mix of our community is predominantly private insurance with provider networks including Blue Cross, Blue Shield etc.; there is no HMO managed care.

Redding and the nearby community of Red Bluff are serviced by three acute care hospitals, St. Elizabeth’s Community Hospital in Red Bluff, and Shasta Regional Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, a level II trauma center. Redding also has a comprehensive in-patient rehabilitation hospital, Vibra Hospital of Northern California. The Redding hospitals are all within three miles of our office.

Our beautiful new 56,000 square foot state of the art medical office building was designed specifically for our use and is in a highly visible and easily accessible location. Ancillary services provided at this facility include two digital imaging suites, an MRI, fluoroscopy, a procedure suite with C-arm and an EMG suite.

In addition to our main office in Redding we also have offices in the communities of Red Bluff and Chester California. Each of our offices is in high exposure and easily accessible locations.

Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has a successful outpatient surgery center, Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center, one half mile from our main medical office. Apogee Outpatient Surgery Center, a Limited Liability Partnership with physicians and Surgical Care Affiliates/Sutter Health Care, specializes in orthopaedics, pain management, ENT, and cardiology.
