Flora George, PA-C, graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with an undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology. She completed her master’s degree studies as a physician assistant at Red Rocks. Following graduation she secured a job in post-acute care, serving patients in skilled rehab and long-term care facilities in the Denver metro area. At Shasta Orthopaedics, she works alongside non-operative musculoskeletal physician, Dr. Eric Jenkinson.
Flora relocated to Redding in January 2020 to join her fiancé, also a PA, who works in the emergency department at Mercy Medical Center. She is originally from Santa Cruz, CA and is looking forward to being back in CA and getting to spend more time with family.
In her free time, Flora enjoys cooking, yoga, camping, snowboarding, and traveling – she was lucky enough to spend 6 weeks in SE Asia prior to recent travel restrictions. She grew up doing gymnastics and also coached gymnastics during high school and college and enjoys working in the field of orthopedics to help her patients live healthy, physically active lives without pain.
