If you have a scheduled appointment or need one, rest assured Shasta Orthopaedics has options to continue your care while meeting social distancing guidelines.

Our staff will work with you to determine if you should be seen in person or the best way to conduct your remote visit for everyone’s safety while protecting the continuity of your care.


Policy for Visitors to Shasta Orthopaedics

If you have had contact with anyone that is sick, have tested positive for COVID-19, are experiencing flu like symptoms, have a fever or recently traveled (particularly internationally) DO NOT enter the office.

Call us at 530-246-2467 or use our Patient Portal to cancel your appointment and we will waive your no-show cancellation fee.

Policy for Guests Accompanying Patients

All patients are encouraged to present to the office alone for their encounter. This is for their, other patients’ and our staff’s safety.

Shasta Orthopaedics will allow one guest to accompany the patient during their encounter unless the patient is a minor. A parent/guardian accompanied by other minor children will be allowed to accompany the patient during their encounter. Parents/guardians are also to be encouraged to make alternative care for their other minor children.


What Is A Telehealth Visit?

A telehealth visit is an appointment with your provider that is conducted by phone or a video conferencing platform.
Telehealth options have existed for some time for added convenience, but are now a great option as we all seek to protect our community from COVID-19 (the coronavirus).

Telehealth Visits are an effective option for care for:

  • Follow-up telephone call.
  • Review of diagnostic imaging or lab results
  • Care consultations

How Can You Schedule A Telehealth Visit?

To schedule a telehealth visit, request an appointment as you normally would by using our Patient Portal or calling our office.

Our scheduling staff will work with you to determine the best telehealth option for your appointment.
