Dr. Forrest Monroe is a fellowship-trained pain management physician who specializes in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the non-opioid management of chronic pain. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Monroe is committed to caring for the whole person and ensuring each patient receives comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment to maximize their functionality and quality of life. He performs a wide range of interventions including: nerve blocks, epidurals, radiofrequency ablation, kyphoplasty, and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Monroe has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation for the management of chronic back pain, and radiofrequency ablation for treatment of chronic back, neck, and knee pain.

Dr. Monroe received his BA from the University of California, Berkeley and his MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology and his fellowship in Multidisciplinary Pain Management at the University of Kansas Health System. His training in one of the highest volume fellowships in the country gives Dr. Monroe unparalleled pain management experience and skills. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors with his family. As Northern California natives, Dr. Monroe and his wife are thrilled to bring their four children home to the North State.
