Meningitis Exposure Concerns from Steroid Back Injections 10/18/2012 Dear Patient, Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is always concerned about the health and well being of our patients. You may have heard from numerous news reports there is a potential risk of meningitis exposure to patients who have received steroid back injections. This risk of exposure is limited to a specific steroid medication manufactured by a specific pharmaceutical company, NECC Incorporated in Framingham, Massachusetts. We want you to know that Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has not used the particular steroid medication that is the cause for concern for meningitis exposure. Additional concerns and cautions are being reported about other products from this pharmacy. We want you to know that Shasta Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has not used any products manufactured by NECC Incorporated.

Redding, California- On September 10, 2012, Shasta Orthopaedics welcomes Dr. Lance Lollar, Chiropractor and former professional cyclist. Shasta Orthopaedics is excited to expand their Spine Institute team, which includes specialists in Physical Therapy, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spine Surgery, and now Chiropractic care.

Historically, Orthopaedic practices specialize primarily in surgery, without providing comprehensive treatment. Shasta Orthopaedics’ cutting edge vision is structured to look at the complete problem, and to begin with the most non-invasive treatment first. As part of this effort, Shasta Orthopaedics is excited Dr. Lance Lollar has joined the Shasta Ortho Spine Institute team. With this new addition of chiropractic care through Dr. Lollar, Shasta Orthopaedics Spine Institute team now includes: Chiropractic Care, Other Non-surgical Care, including physical therapy and injections, and Spine Surgery.
