Shasta Orthopaedics is thrilled to welcome Dr. Rachel Hoyal, DPM, a board-certified foot and ankle specialist, to our esteemed team. With a strong background in podiatric medicine and extensive experience in limb salvage, reconstructive surgery, trauma, and wound care, Dr. Hoyal is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients in need of comprehensive foot and ankle treatment.
Expertise and Professional Background
Dr. Hoyal has been practicing podiatric medicine since 2010, with a focus on advanced surgical techniques and patient-centered care. She completed her three-year surgical residency at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, where she honed her expertise in foot and ankle surgery. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt College, graduating with honors.
Prior to joining Shasta Orthopaedics, Dr. Hoyal operated a successful private practice in Santa Rosa, CA, and served as a staff podiatrist at Healdsburg Northern California Wound Care Center. Her extensive experience in both hospital and outpatient settings makes her a valuable addition to our team.

Dr. Hoyal has demonstrated leadership throughout her career. She has held prestigious positions such as:
- President of the Podiatric Redwood Society Branch of CPMA (2018–Present)

She is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and is an active member of professional organizations, including ACFAS, CPMA, APMA, and ACPM.
